Astana residents complain about power outages: what happened
Tengrinews.kz — Astana residents have begun reporting power outages. Astana-REK explained the cause of the disruption and announced that the power supply has already been restored.
According to the company, at 14:59 on October 23, an emergency shutdown occurred on the 110-kilovolt "Dostyk – Airport" overhead power line. As a result, consumers connected to the "Airport," "Zarechnaya," and "Ishim" substations were temporarily left without electricity.
Power supply was fully restored by 15:16. Consequently, the outage lasted 17 minutes.
"Emergency response teams are inspecting the power line to determine the cause of the incident," Astana-REK JSC reported.
Residents themselves reported outages to the newsroom in the areas of Mangilik El Avenue, Turkestan Street, Koshkarbayev Street, Kerey and Zhanibek Khan Street, and others.
Earlier, the company had also warned of temporary power outages on October 23 in various districts of the capital. The restrictions were scheduled for the Almaty, Baykonyr, Nura, and Saryarka districts due to network maintenance, tree trimming, and equipment replacement.
