Tengrinews.kz – Schoolchildren in Kazakhstan will get seven days off this autumn. The autumn break in the new academic year will begin at the end of October and last until early November.
When will the autumn break begin in the 2026/2027 academic yearAccording to the calendar for the 2026/2027 academic year, the autumn break will run from October 26 through November 1, 2026, inclusive. In total, schoolchildren will have seven calendar days off. Classes will resume on November 2, marking the start of the second term.
Full school holiday calendar in Kazakhstan for 2026/2027
In Kazakhstan, the academic year will be divided into four terms. Students will also have winter and spring breaks during the year, while first-graders will receive an additional break in February.
How long will the winter break last
The second term will consist of eight school weeks. In winter, students will have a longer break lasting 14 calendar days.
The winter break will run from December 28, 2026, through January 10, 2027, inclusive.
The third term will then begin and will last ten school weeks.
When will the spring break be
In spring, schoolchildren will once again get one week off. The break will begin on March 22, 2027, and end on March 28, inclusive.
After the spring break, the fourth term will begin. It will last eight school weeks, while the academic year will end on May 25, 2027.
First-graders to get an extra week off in February
First-grade students will have an additional break lasting seven calendar days, from February 8 through February 14, 2027, inclusive.
