More than 100 sheep die in Mangystau under unexplained circumstances
Tengrinews.kz - More than 120 sheep have died in the village of Beineu in the Mangystau Region. Veterinarians and employees of the district territorial inspection were sent to the site, according to 24.kz.
According to the TV channel, specialists have already taken samples for examination. Laboratory test results are expected in about ten days.
The carcasses of the dead animals were disposed of at a specially designated site, while the pens were disinfected.
“A total of 126 sheep died in the pen. According to the shepherd, the livestock belonged to ten farms. Until yesterday, they had all been drinking water from the same reservoir. Laboratory tests will determine what caused the animals to die,” said Nuraly Sadigulov, head of the Beineu District veterinary station.
The Kazakh-language report by the TV channel said that no signs of infectious disease were found in the surviving sheep.
