Earthquake recorded in Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz — An earthquake was recorded in Kazakhstan, according to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The tremor was registered at 11:08 p.m. Astana time on September 6 by the network of seismic stations operated by the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research under the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The epicenter was located in Kazakhstan, 875 kilometers northeast of Almaty. Its coordinates were 49.167° north latitude and 84.417° east longitude.
In the village of Ulken Naryn in East Kazakhstan Region, the estimated intensity of the earthquake was 2 points.
Following the earthquake, specialists from Kazselezashchita inspected riverbeds, hydraulic structures, and areas prone to landslides and mudflows.
Essential infrastructure facilities were also visually inspected for possible damage. No damage was found, and the facilities are currently operating normally.
No reports of damage or injuries have been received. The situation remains stable.
