Kazakh seismologists record earthquake in Kyrgyzstan
Tengrinews.kz — Kazakh seismologists recorded an earthquake in Kyrgyzstan overnight on August 20.
According to the Kazakhstan National Data Center, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan at 12:08 a.m. Astana time on August 20.
According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in Naryn Region, 15 kilometers northwest of the village of Kok-Zhar.
The earthquake intensity in populated areas of Kyrgyzstan was:
around 3.5 points in the villages of Kok-Zhar and Ak-Kyya;3 points in the villages of Ak-Bulak, Kara-Keche, Min-Kush, Zhany-Talap, Ugut and Kosh-Bulak.
