Kazakhstanis warned of new wave of extreme heat
Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have presented the weather forecast for July 30, 31 and August 1.
Heat is set to intensify across Kazakhstan in the coming days. According to meteorologists, temperatures in southern regions will climb to +44°C, while several other provinces can expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail.
Where to expect heavy rainfall
According to Kazhydromet, atmospheric frontal systems will continue to dictate weather patterns across the country from July 30 to August 1. Short-term rains, thunderstorms, and strengthening winds are forecast for most of the republic, with hail possible in some areas. The heaviest precipitation is expected in the northwest, north, and east of Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, the south and southeast will remain predominantly dry as hot air masses originating from Iran continue to dominate these regions.
Where extreme heat is expected
Despite precipitation in certain regions, temperatures across most of the country will continue to rise. Forecasters predict daytime highs will reach:
+33°C to +41°C in central, eastern, and southeastern areas;
+35°C to +44°C in the south.
Only the western, northwestern, and northern regions will see a slight reprieve; following a period of intense heat, temperatures there are expected to drop to +25°C to +35°C on August 1.
