2026 World Cup - Kazakhstan's MFA Warned Fans
Tengrinews.kz — Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Zhetybayev, has issued recommendations for Kazakhstani citizens planning to attend the 2026 World Cup.
"The FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, attracting a large number of foreign fans, including citizens of our country. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens planning to attend matches and other tournament events take precautions and pay close attention to personal safety," Zhetybayev noted during a departmental briefing.
Zhetybayev also emphasized the importance of Kazakhstani citizens carrying identification documents at all times.
"Strictly comply with the requirements of local law enforcement and event organizers, plan travel routes in advance, and use official transportation services," he concluded.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19. For the first time, 48 national teams will participate in the tournament.
