Generali s’engage pour les économies d’énergie en participant à l’opération M’illumino di Meno et en éteignant les lumières de ses bâtiments emblématiques en Italie
Milan – Generali participe pour la huitième année consécutive à l’initiative M’illumino di Meno, la campagne de sensibilisation aux économies d’énergie promue par Rai Radio2 avec Caterpillar, lancée en 2005 et aujourd’hui dans sa 22e édition.
À l’occasion de la Journée nationale des économies d’énergie et des modes de vie durables, ce lundi 16 février, Generali témoigne de son engagement concret en matière de durabilité en éteignant les lumières de certains de ses bâtiments les plus emblématiques en Italie : la Generali Tower de Milan conçue par Zaha Hadid, le Palazzo Berlam à Trieste, The Home of The Human Safety Net dans les Procuratie de la place Saint‑Marc à Venise, ainsi que les bureaux de la Via Bissolati à Rome et de la Via Mazzini à Turin.
M’illumino di Meno invites citizens and organizations every year to switch off non-essential lights, promoting responsible behaviour and bringing attention to energy saving. The 2026 edition is dedicated to science and the contribution of research in tackling the climate crisis: together with leading Italian and international scientific institutions, it places science at the center as an essential tool for understanding these issues and adopting behaviours based on scientific knowledge and data.
Today at 19:00, the lights of the selected buildings will be switched off for about 15 minutes, participating in the M’illumino di Meno initiative as part of Generali’s broader commitment to sustainability, one of the foundations of the strategic plan “Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence”. The Group’s aim is to generate a positive and lasting impact for people and the planet, supporting a green and just transition and strengthening social resilience. As an example, Generali has committed to achieving a 35% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from operational activities related to offices, data centers and mobility by 2025 and a 60% reduction by 2030, compared to a 2019 baseline.
Barbara Lucini, Head of Country Sustainability & Social Responsibility at Generali Italia, stated: “As Generali, we join the M’illumino di Meno initiative with the shared goal of promoting sustainable lifestyles, reducing waste and supporting the transition towards a low-greenhouse-gas economy, integrating the social dimension into our climate strategy. It is a symbolic gesture that reminds us that each of us can contribute to building a more prosperous and inclusive future”.
