Blizzards, snowfalls and fog: storm warning issued for almost the entire country

Astana – Snow, blizzard and daytime icy conditions are expected. Southwesterly wind with gusts of 15–20 meters per second, at times up to 23 m/s.

Shymkent – Fog is expected at times.

West Kazakhstan region – At night in the northeast, south and center of the region snow and blizzard are expected. In the west, north and south of the region fog and icy conditions are expected. Northwesterly wind shifting to southeasterly, at night in the northeast of the region gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Uralsk, fog and icy conditions are expected.

Kyzylorda region – In the north and center of the region fog and icy conditions are expected. In Kyzylorda, fog is expected at times.

Mangystau region – In the west and north of the region fog is expected.

Atyrau region – In the west, south and east of the region fog and icy conditions are expected. Southwesterly wind shifting to northeasterly; at night in the east of the region gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Atyrau, fog and icy conditions are expected at night and in the morning.

North Kazakhstan region – Snow and blizzard are expected; at night in the west of the region heavy snow. Icy conditions are expected in the west, north and south of the region, and fog in the east. Southwesterly wind 15–20 m/s, in the west and south of the region gusts of 23–28 m/s. In Petropavlovsk, snow and blizzard are expected, with icy roads during the day. Southwesterly wind 15–20 m/s.

East Kazakhstan region – In the north and east of the region snow, blizzard and daytime icy conditions are expected. In the south of the region fog is expected. Southeasterly and southerly wind; in the north and east of the region 15–20 m/s, with daytime gusts up to 25 m/s. In Ust-Kamenogorsk, snow and blizzard are expected at night. Roads will be icy. Southeasterly and southerly wind, with daytime gusts of 15–20 m/s.

Abai region – During the day in the west and north of the region snow, blizzard and icy conditions are expected. In the east and south of the region fog is expected. Southerly and southwesterly wind in the west, north and center of the region 15–20 m/s, with daytime gusts of 23–28 m/s. In Semey, snow, blizzard and icy conditions are expected during the day. Southerly and southwesterly wind with daytime gusts of 15–20 m/s.

Aktobe region – In the west, north and east of the region precipitation (rain, snow), blizzard and icy conditions are expected. Fog in the west and south of the region. Southwesterly and westerly wind, in the west, north and east of the region gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Aktobe, precipitation (rain, snow), blizzard and icy conditions are expected at night. Southwesterly and westerly wind, with nighttime gusts of 15–20 m/s.

Ulytau region – During the day in the north of the region snow and blizzard are expected. Fog in the north, east and center of the region. Southwesterly wind in the north and east of the region with occasional gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Zhezkazgan, fog is expected at times.

Zhambyl region – In the north, south and mountainous areas of the region fog and icy conditions are expected. Southeasterly wind shifting to northeasterly; in the mountainous areas of the region up to 15–20 m/s. In Taraz, fog and icy conditions are expected at times.

Turkestan region – In the north, west, south and mountainous areas of the region fog is expected. In Turkestan, fog is expected at times.

Pavlodar region – Snow, blizzard and daytime icy conditions are expected. Southwesterly wind; at night in the west and north of the region 15–20 m/s, during the day 15–20 m/s, in the west of the region gusts of 23–28 m/s. In Pavlodar, snow and drifting snow are expected, with icy roads during the day. Southwesterly wind with daytime gusts of 15–20 m/s.

Kostanay region – At night, snow, blizzard and icy conditions are expected across the region, with heavy snow in the north and west. During the day in the south and east of the region snow, blizzard and icy conditions are expected. Fog in the west and east of the region. Southwesterly wind at night 15–20 m/s, in the east and south of the region gusts 23–28 m/s; during the day in the south and east gusts of 15–20 m/s. Karaganda region – During the day in the west and north of the region snow, blizzard and icy conditions are expected. Occasional fog in the west, north and east of the region. Southwesterly wind in the west, north and east of the region with gusts of 15–20 m/s, in the north at times up to 23 m/s. In Karaganda, snow, blizzard and icy conditions are expected by the end of the day. Fog at times. Southwesterly wind in the morning and during the day with gusts of 15–20 m/s.

Akmola region – Snow, blizzard and daytime icy conditions are expected. Southwesterly wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s, in the west, north and east of the region gusts of 23–28 m/s. In Kokshetau, snow, blizzard and daytime icy conditions are expected. Southwesterly wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s, at night gusts up to 23 m/s.

Zhetysu region – In the north, east and mountainous areas of the region fog is expected. Northeasterly wind in the east of the region with daytime gusts of 15–20 m/s.
