Playstation Giving Away Chance to Get Scanned Into Popular Games

Ever wanted to be in a video game? 

No, like really BE IN a video game? 

Playstation is offering just that opportunity with a contest that will result in someone being scanned into Gran Turismo 7, but that could be just the beginning.

Introducing ‘The Playerbase’

Sony is introducing “a unique opportunity for Playstation’s biggest fans” to truly be part of the biggest games in the world.

But how? 

Via The Playerbase, a person can be scanned using state-of-the-art 3D capture technology. 

That will allow them to be featured in any game in digital form, and GT7 is first up. 

How to win the contest 

If you want to win the contest to be selected for scanning into Gran Turismo 7, the official rules can be found at playstation.com/the-playerbase. 

Gamers 18-and-up must to fill out a survey and sign in with a Playstation account ID, but that’s just the beginning. 

Sony wants to hear about special memories gamers have formed playing Playstation and why the game system family celebrating its 30th anniversary is important to them. 

The winner will also get to help design a custom Fantasy Logo and a unique vehicle livery that will be added to the showcase memory permanently. 

That will require a trip to a visual arts studio, but don’t fret the cost: Sonny will cover those for the winner and a plus-one. That includes accommodations near the studio. 

What will come next? 

Sony’s announcement notes they will be looking to expand to include fans in additional Playstation Studios titles “in the near future.” 

That includes three game slots, one of which is GT7 this summer. 

The other two are blank, which makes the mind wander… What games might be included in the next offer? 

Could someone get to slash their own path through the upcoming Wolverine game? 

Swing through the streets of New York City in Spider-Man 2 or battle other Marvel characters in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls? 

Join The Last of Us universe to try to save humanity or just see how many home runs they can hit in MLB The Show 2K26? 

Maybe even get LEGO-ized for a game like LEGO Horizon Adventures of rumble around in the world of Astro Bot or Crash Bandicoot.
