Terry Crews' Wife Rebecca Reveals Parkinson's Diagnosis, Shares Health Update

Terry Crews‘ wife, Rebecca King Crews, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The couple made an appearance on Today to discuss her diagnosis on Monday (April 6), as well as the current state of her health.

The two have been married for nearly 37 years since July of 1989, and have four daughters and a son, as well as one grandchild.

“I feel good. I’m able to write my name and my dates, and I’m able to write with my right hand for the first time in probably three years,” Rebecca said, revealing that her symptoms began around 2012 – including numbness in her left foot that led to a limp, followed by tremors – leading to a 2015 diagnosis.

“I believe that you don’t lay down and die because you got a diagnosis,” she said, explaining that she’s pursuing a non-invasive surgical procedure, a bilateral focused ultrasound, approved by the FDA in 2025.

The reason she’s decided to “come forward now” is to discuss the procedure that has helped her.

The procedure involves a device called the Exablate Neuro, developed by Insightec, to deliver ultrasound waves to specific areas on both sides of the brain, per Today.

It is considered an “adjunct therapy, meaning it doesn’t replace the need for medication.”

She has had the procedure done on one side of her body, but has noticed her tremor on her right side is gone, improved balance, and reduced need for medication. She’ll get it done on her left side in September.

“Part of the procedure is improved symptoms, so you’re improved on one side (but) not on the other. However, each day that I do things, I’m aware of the benefit that’s already been to me on the one side of the body. So I’m looking forward to doing the left side,” she explained.

Rebecca also endured a double mastectomy after a breast cancer diagnosis in 2020.

Terry Crews reflected on seeing his wife, whom he calls a “superhero,” write her own name again, and he got emotional.

“But to watch her write her name for the first time in three years, let me tell you. I don’t know what to say, I’m choked up just thinking about it,” he said.

“When they say sickness and health, this is the battle that we were designed to fight together. Where she’s weak, I’m strong. Where I’m weak, she’s strong. And we built each other up like that for almost 37 years and all the way to forever,” he went on to say. Watch above.
