Sharon Stone Says She Fast-Forwards Through Sex Scenes: 'I Don't Want to See It'
Sharon Stone is calling out sex scenes in modern movies and television shows.
The 68-year-old actress visited CBS Mornings on Tuesday (March 31) to promote Euphoria, which she joined for its upcoming third season.
Considering the HBO show is known for its racy content, the topic came up and the Oscar nominee declared that she doesn’t like the way sex and nudity is depicted in modern media most of the time.

“So often now, when sex scenes come on TV, I fast-forward. I don’t want to see it,” she said. “I don’t want to have to go through all of this blatant, harsh sexuality.”
Speaking of her own famous nude scene from the 1992 film Basic Instinct, Sharon said, “It wasn’t even an entire frame of film. And, so, people were desperately trying to figure it out. And I think that idea of, ‘Oh, my God.’ This hope, this wonder, this mystery, this intrigue, this yearning is something that is what all of our profound sexuality is based in.”
Interviewer Gayle King asked Sharon how she felt about that scene and the impact it had on her career.
“Oh my God, it changed everything,” she answered. “In many ways, I feel like I wasn’t protected and taken care of. And then in many ways, I feel I was punished for the behavior of others.”
Sharon said she lost custody of her child because of the role.
“My child was put on the stand in custody court and asked if his mother did sex movies. I mean, things that were bizarrely inappropriate,” she recalled, adding that people would treat her in “cruel and unkind ways,” like she was “some sort of slatternly, vulgar person.”
“I played a character 30 years ago. Like, grow up,” the Casino star concluded.
Earlier this week, Sharon revealed which Hollywood actor is the “best kisser.”
