‘What are appropriately sized tampons?’ Move over Minnesota, now another state looks to force feminine hygiene products in MEN’S rooms

The 2024 presidential race had its share of bathroom humor, as Minnesota Gov. and Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz was nicknamed “Tampon Tim” for his promotion of feminine hygiene products in boys’ restrooms.

Now another state, Maryland, is considering whether or not tampons should be required in both men’s and women’s bathrooms in public buildings.

“There is some conversation about transgender women using men’s bathrooms,” Republican state Delegate Kathy Szeliga told WBAL-TV in Baltimore.

“So, I’ve dubbed this bill, ‘Tampons for Timmy,’ because it explains what this bill does. This bill puts tampons in men’s bathrooms across the state in Maryland – including the Ravens’ stadium, Oriole Park, men’s prisons. I just think it’s very, very expensive – and most importantly, totally unnecessary.”

Debate over House Bill 941 has already gotten quite unseemly, with arguments over the “size” of the mandated products.

Reading from the measure, Szeliga said: “Menstrual hygiene products means appropriately sized tampons.”

She then asked her Democrat colleague Ken Kerr: “What are appropriately sized tampons? I’ve never heard of such a thing. What do you consider appropriate?”

Kerr replied: “It just means that tampons are offered. There’s no specific size.”

Szeliga noted: “Well apparently there’s four different sizes. So which one would you like them to use?”

“Just a regular sized tampon in the bathroom,” Kerr responded.

Szeliga pressed: “Now is this going in ALL bathrooms, men’s and women’s?”

When Kerr answered yes, Szeliga asked: “How about the [Baltimore] Ravens stadium?”

Kerr indicated: “If it is a state-owned building, then yes, it would go in. It’s a public building.”

BREAKING: Maryland is seriously debating putting tampons in the MEN’S bathrooms at Baltimore Ravens and Orioles stadiums.

Democrat Delegate Ken Kerr, who supports the bill, insisted the tampons must be “appropriately sized.”
