Kelly Slater Claps Back at ‘Shapeshifting Fallen Angel’ Conspiracy Theory
Throughout his storied surf career, Kelly Slater has exhibited many otherworldly moments. Just to name a few: that session at Soup Bowls in Campaign 2, his 540-degree air reverse in Portugal from 2014, or his perfect heat at Teahupo’o, Tahiti in 2005.
He is a superhuman, by most accounts, and still doing it well into his 50s.
Thus, he’s piqued the attention of the tinfoil hat community, like this conspiracy theory social media influencer below, who believes that Slater, along with the likes of Michael Phelps, are actually fallen angels. Oh yeah, and he’s secretly RFK Jr., too.
Tyler Hansen, who goes by the Fittest Flat Earther online, points out some key Kelly insignia that points to him be of divine heritage. He shows Kelly throwing up the devil horns (clear sign of satanism, obviously), his freak talent in the water, snake logos from, like, the eighties on his surfboards, and so on and so on.
“They’re shapeshifters,” Hansen says about Slater and RFK. “They can look young and old, like that.” He then goes on to say RFK and Slater are also shapeshifting into the actor Mel Gibson, even comparing freckles and scars on the three.
Of course, Slater, never one to back down on a good social media controversy, he had to chime in and defend himself. The GOAT wrote:
“This might be the funniest video anyone has ever made about me. So RFK and Mel and I are all at once the same person? I also literally don’t have a scar where you’re pointing out. You got so triggered with me showing you a video of the earth shadow going up the clouds you had to work all day for this? That’s commendable. I will say I’m totally confused on what any of what you’re saying even means though. The only clear thing to me is there are a lot of crazy people in these comments. Wild times.”
Wild times indeed.
