The moment came during a dream sequence, in which Conan imagined himself winning a fictional Oscar for “Best Achievement.”
After his name was announced as the winner, the host appeared wearing a velvet robe and crown while being celebrated on stage.
Josh then performed a funny operatic style song honoring the host as he was crowned.
The performance featured the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and used the melody of “Zadok the Priest,” the famous anthem composed by George Frideric Handel for the coronation of King George II in 1727, per OperaWire.
In the comedic moment, Conan even had a falcon deliver his imaginary Oscar statuette from the sky as part of the sketch. Watch above!
The Oscars ceremony is being hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien for the second year in a row. Sinners broke a record for most nominations for a movie in a single year, with 16 nods. Check out the full list of nominees!
