Who Is Jessie Buckley’s Husband, Freddie Sorensen?
Jessie Buckley is married to Freddie Sorensen, a mental health worker with whom she shares one child.
Buckley opened up about him in a Jan. 6 British Vogue interview, saying that anonymity is crucial given his profession. Buckley said that her husband has been by her side during award season and “having a ball eating canapés” at events, but they are not planning any red-carpet appearances to protect his privacy.
According to the the Daily Mail, Sorensen has a background in show business. He worked alongside Simon Cowell on the X Factor, produced ITV’s Game of Talents UK and produced two episodes of BBC’s Gladiators.

How Did Jessie Buckley & Freddie Sorensen Meet?
The couple first met five years ago, when they were set up on a blind date by music executive Marc Robinson, according to British Vogue. They strolled along Regent’s Canal and had drinks at The Dove on Broadway Market — and the rest was history!
Sorensen and Buckley got married in an intimate ceremony at their house in Norfolk outside London in 2023.
Jessie Buckley & Freddie Sorensen Welcomed a Baby in 2025
Buckley and Sorensen share a daughter who was born in mid 2025. Her name has not been revealed.
In a Nov. 2025 interview with Elle, Buckley gushed about her daughter. “The best thing about being a mom is just when even when you’re having a hard day, they give you these otherworldly little smiles and make your heart crack into a thousand pieces and you think, ‘Oh, it’s all going to be okay.’”

Buckley & Sorensen Live A Private Life
According to Buckley, she and Sorensen live a very quiet, normal life at home with their daughter.
“I have tracksuit pants that are eaten by moths to within an inch of their life,” she told Deadline on Feb. 16. “I have a bath that’s old. I light fires. We don’t have a TV. I cook. I just do the simplest things and I need to step off. I need to step out.”
“I’m not method. I definitely like to very gently stir the soup,” she continued, adding, “Everybody has a method of some sort, but I just like to simmer in it, but also be human and be with my husband, be with my daughter, cook, not care. I don’t think I could sustain where I like to go in my work if I didn’t have someplace to come back and just be absolutely human.”
