Woman sexually assaulted on London Underground in daytime attack
A woman was sexually assaulted on the London Underground by a man standing behind her.
Detectives are investigating the attack, which happened during the day on board a southbound Victoria line Tube train.
The woman was travelling on the train at about 10.30am on Wednesday, February 21, when she was targeted.
The train was near Green Park station in central London when she was assaulted by a stranger standing behind her on board the train.
Now the British Transport Police has released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to.
Officers believe he may have information that could help with the investigation.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP and quote reference 455 of 21 February.
How safe is the Tube?
Sexual offences on London Underground have dropped slightly in recent months compared to last year.
There were 445 sexual offences on the Tube between July and December last year, compared with 499 in the same period of 2024.
The entire London public transport network saw 919 sexual offences in the six months to December, down from 1,020 the previous year.
Most sexual crimes were committed in Westminster (111), followed by Newham (69) and Camden (60), the latest TfL data shows.

A bulk of the offences were recorded during the afternoon and peak commuter times between 4pm and 8pm.
