WATCH: Ex-Biden adviser has no clue whether it’s illegal to enter U.S. illegally!
A former senior adviser to Joe Biden when he was in the Oval Office has pleaded ignorance to whether it’s a crime to enter the U.S. illegally.
The answer came from Brendan Duke, now of the Center on Budget and Priority Policies, during a Senate budget hearing.
“I don’t know anything about this,” Duke said. “I’m here to talk about budgets.”
The question was from U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno. R-Ohio.
“It’s a simple question. Should it be a crime? I’ll say it slowly. Should it be a crime to enter the United States of America illegally without permission?” the senator questioned.
Of course, a top priority of the Biden administration was to remove barriers to illegal entry into the United States and encourage that migration. Estimates say millions of those illegal aliens entered the U.S. during Biden’s tenure.
A Biden policy adviser cannot definitively answer whether it should be a “crime” to enter the US “illegally” when asked by Sen. Bernie Moreno.

A report from Fox News said Duke did have an opinion when asked if it should be illegal for someone to enter his own home without permission.
He said that should be considered a crime.
The report said, “Moreno pointed out that Duke was ‘certain’ about that response but ‘not sure’ whether it applied to America as a whole before turning his attention to the committee’s ranking member, Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore. ‘So this is the best that Democrats can come up with. Mr. Chairman, I hope the ranking member can listen for just a second. If you don’t mind, this is the best witnesses you’ve got? A guy who can’t distinguish whether it’s OK to have people enter our country illegally? Of all the millions of people that you could have chosen to testify?'”
Social media found Duke’s comments “INSANE.”
A few found amusement in the open laughter from a man in the audience, behind Duke.
