Popular Potato Chip Recalled in 6 States Amid FDA Warning

A popular brand and flavor of potato chips ended up in the Food and Drug Administration's warning list after a potential cross contamination occurred in the factory.

Miss Vickie's gained international fame after quality ingredients were used "to create flavorful chips that delighted her kids and quickly gained attention at local markets and food festivals."

Three decades later, the company still delivers some of the best flavors on the market, but its wildly popular Spicy Dill Pickle flavor was recently flagged.

Miss Vickie's Recall Announced in 6 States

On March 4, the FDA announced "Frito-Lay is recalling select 8 oz. bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips that could include jalapeño-flavored potato chips and therefore may contain undeclared milk."

A warning was listed for those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run as they risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product. However, product is safe to consume for anyone who does not have a dairy allergy or sensitivity to milk.

The products covered by this recall may have been distributed as early as January 15, 2026, to a mix of retailers including grocery, convenience, and drug stores, as well as local digital retailers in the following six states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

However, customers with an allergy or sensitivity to milk, they should not consume the product and discard it immediately.

Frito-Lay revealed no allergic reactions related to the issue have been reported to date.
