'RHOSLC' Star Mary Cosby's Son Robert Jr Dead at 23: Read Her Statement
Mary Cosby is mourning the loss of her son Robert Cosby Jr.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s only child has sadly passed away this week at the age of 23, according to TMZ.
“Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow,” she confirmed in a statement to the site.
Robert reportedly died on Monday (February 23) in Utah, and while the cause of death is unknown at this time, authorities responded to a possible overdose, and upon arrival, a death investigation began.
SLC police say they responded to a call for a “full arrest/medical emergency” of a 23-year-old male, and fire and paramedics were dispatched.
Robert Jr has had a history of drug use and addiction, which he candidly talked about with Mary on RHOSLC.
Late last year, Robert Jr plead guilty to trespassing and assault charges involving his estranged wife and her father. She filed for divorce in November.
He was arrested in November and remained in jail up until earlier this month.
