Season 4 of 'Tehran' Has Been Plagued by Controversy
Tehran's fourth season is currently shooting in Athens, Greece. The city is standing in for the Iranian capital, where the majority of Tehran takes place. The show has faced several unexpected delays in recent years, as production was halted due to the story's many similarities to the ongoing political situation in the Middle East.
The show follows the adventures of a Mossad agent named Tamar (Niv Sultan), who is sent undercover in Tehran to prevent the Iranian military from developing nuclear weapons. Production on the fourth season will recommence shortly in Athens, while the third season continues to air weekly throughout February 2026.
