Keep reading to find out more…
As they spend more time on the island, it becomes clear that Linda does not want to leave. Early on, while she is exploring and looking for supplies, Linda does see a boat passing by, but remarks to herself that it’s too soon to be rescued, so she doesn’t flag it down. With more time passing by, Linda seems to soak up the newfound power she has over her real-life boss.
Linda always seems to have a one-up over Bradley, except for when he makes her dinner and poisons her to knock her out while he tries to escape the island on a raft. The raft falls apart and he comes crashing back to shore. To prove her power over him, Linda next poisons Bradley using a piece of seafood that temporarily paralyzes him. While he’s unable to move or feel anything, Linda pretends to castrate him, but says she’ll actually do it if she needs to.
Eventually, help does come, but Linda is still not ready to leave the island.
Bradley’s fiancee Zuri arrives on a boat along with a man she hired to help in the search. They see Linda on the beach and there’s no way for her to hide at this point. They ask to be taken to Bradley and Linda decides to take them on a dangerous route. Zuri slips and falls, with the man trying to save her. Linda just stands there and while we don’t learn Zuri’s fate in the moment, we eventually learn that she does die.
Linda struck the man over the head, sending both the man and Zuri off the cliff and to their deaths. Eventually, Bradley discovers Zuri’s body, which leads to the bigger twist in the movie.
Bradley confronts Linda about Zuri and they end up in a brutal face-off, causing major injuries to each other.
While running around the island, Bradley eventually reaches the part of the island that Linda said was off-limits because it was covered in poisonous plants. Well, the reason she said it was off-limits is because there was actually a luxury home on the island!
Bradley stumbles into the house and soon finds out that Linda knew about the house all along. Linda has taken control of the security cameras and is able to track Bradley’s movements in the house. They end up having one more major battle inside the house, with Bradley trying and failing to kill Linda.
The battle ends with Linda swinging a golf club at Bradley’s head, but before showing the blow to his head, the movie cuts to one year later.
Linda is now on a golf course and playing in a celebrity golf tournament. She speaks to a news anchor about it being a full year since she was discovered alive following the plane crash. We learn that Linda was discovered on a raft as the “only” survivor of the crash and she has since been promoted at work and is now the author of self-help books.
Linda, who is a Survivor fan, surely shows that she was able to outwit, outlast, and outplay Bradley for survival.
The ending does leave us with some unanswered questions, including how was Linda able to cover up the murders of Bradley, Zuri, and boatman? We can assume that the owner of the house eventually returns, so did Linda clean and restore the house to hide what happened there? It’s unclear if we’ll find out!
