'The Studio' Cast Reacts to Catherine O'Hara's Death, Season 2 Update Revealed Just Days After Filming Began
The stars of The Studio are reacting to the shocking death of Catherine O’Hara.
Seth Rogen and Ike Barinholtz have both released statements in response to the news that Catherine has passed away at the age of 71.
Catherine‘s death comes just days after filming began on season two of the hit Apple TV series, which recently won the Emmy and Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series.

Seth and Ike both posted tributes on Instagram.
Seth said, “Really don’t know what to say… I told O’Hara when I first met her I thought she was the funniest person I’d ever had the pleasure of watching on screen. Home Alone was the movie that made me want to make movies. Getting to work with her was a true honour. She was hysterical, kind, intuitive, generous… she made me want to make our show good enough to be worthy of her presence in it. This is just devastating. We’re all lucky we got to live in a world with her in it.”
Ike wrote, “I never in a million years thought I would get to work with Catherine O’Hara let alone become friends with her. So profoundly sad she’s somewhere else now. So incredibly grateful I got to spend the time I did with her. Thank you Catherine I love you ❤️.”
So, what’s happening with season two?
A source told the U.S. Sun that Catherine missed filming dates recently, which at the time were explained for “personal matters.”
“She was scheduled to film, but they reworked the schedule to focus on scenes without her character,” a source said. “It was not widely known she was dealing with any health or major issues. I don’t believe she ever filmed anything for season two.”
The source added, “Her death comes as a total shock to everyone on the show. She was the most beloved person on the set. This is a huge loss not just for The Studio, but for the world in general. She’s a legend.”
