Roma injury woes get worse with new Manu Kone problem
Manu Kone was added to the lengthy Roma injury list and seemed very upset when limping off during this evening’s match with Milan.
The midfielder had been in the starting XI and pulled up during a tussle with fellow France international Adrien Rabiot just shy of the hour mark.
He immediately gestured to the bench on the touchline that he needed to come off, realising that he had pulled a muscle in his right leg.
Roma injuries pile up
Kone was clutching the back of the right thigh and initial reports suggest this is a flexor issue.
The Giallorossi star was visibly upset as he hobbled slowly off the field to make way for Niccolò Pisilli and pulled the jersey over his head to hide his face.
The 24-year-old has made 28 competitive appearances for Roma so far this season, contributing two goals and one assist.
It is just the latest setback for Gian Piero Gasperini, who is already without Artem Dovbyk, Devyne Rensch, Mario Hermoso and Angelino.
