Roma meet for market planning as Giallorossi push for Raspadori
Roma’s ownership and technical leadership held a key internal meeting on Wednesday as the club looks to sharpen its January strategy and support Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans for the second half of the season.
The summit, attended by Ryan Friedkin, Gian Piero Gasperini and Claudio Ranieri, reaffirmed the club’s intent to strengthen the squad while operating within the constraints of the settlement agreement and financial sustainability rules.
The message from ownership was clear: ambition remains high, but timing and balance will be crucial.
Roma working hard on Raspadori deal
Sporting director Frederic Massara was not present at the meeting, having continued market work elsewhere, though progress has been made on one of Roma’s priority targets.
Massara has held a face-to-face meeting with the representatives of Giacomo Raspadori, following weeks of phone contact, as per Gianluca DiMarzio.
While no breakthrough has been reached yet, sources describe a slightly more optimistic tone around the talks. Roma are exploring the framework of a possible deal and assessing feasibility in January, with Raspadori viewed as a profile capable of adding flexibility and quality to Gasperini’s attacking options.
Further discussions are expected as Roma look to accelerate key decisions in the coming days.
