Coming into the fourth Test after losing the first three matches, Ben Stokes’ team turned things around. After choosing to bowl first, England bowled Australia out for just 152 runs, with Josh Tongue leading the attack.

England struggled in their first innings with the bat but responded strongly in the second. The MCG surface helped the fast bowlers again, as England kept Australia to a low score and set themselves a target of 175 runs to win.
