Bargain hunters share little-known trick to nab items for FREE in Tesco – including £8 cleaning products & £10 nappies
WITH the cost-of-living crisis affecting households up and down the country, it’s little surprise homeowners are trying to cut back costs wherever they can.
And if you’re looking to slash the price of your weekly Tesco shop, then you may just want to take note…
That’s because several savvy shoppers have revealed the little-known way they’ve been nabbing items for free – and it’s all thanks to a voucher that’s often left behind at the tills.
Amongst the bargain hunters is Rose Hargreaves, who took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and shared a snap of a box ‘Bold Platinum Washing Liquid Pods Cherry Blossom & Rose Water 29 washes.’
While the product usually retails at £8, she revealed how she instead managed to get her hands on it without spending a single penny.
“Got a voucher for free box of bold platinum in Tesco originally £8 and a lady next to me got one for Ariel,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, another lucky customer named Chloe Hopkins also rushed online after nabbing a free pack of ‘Pampers Baby Dry Pants Essential Pack Size 5 33 Nappies,’ which usually retail at £10.
Alongside the image, she penned: “Free pack of pampers pull ups when you scan your Clubcard at Tesco. (voucher comes out with receipt).
“Llanelli Tesco but I believe this is across all stores.”
It wasn’t long before the posts racked up hundreds of likes and comments between them, with many one eager to know more.
“Is there a minimum spend 1st?” asked one social media user.
A helpful Tesco shopper replied: “I don’t think so. I only bought honey which was about £3.80.”
Elsewhere, while some were desperate to snap up some of the freebies for themselves, others revealed they’ve already had great success.
“I’m loving these vouchers!” enthused one social media user.
“So far I’ve had a free bottle of fairy laundry, Lenor scent boosters, 3 packs sanitary towels, some Airwick refillable pod things and a dust trap thingy for blinds.”
A second tagged a friend and pleaded: “Can you keep your eye out see if you get one when you go Tesco.”

A third pointed out: “It’s not just pull ups I got pampers new baby so got to choose between size 1, 2 and 3.”
Meanwhile, a fourth informed others: “These are just random vouchers not everyone has them no minimum spend either.”
Another noted: “Got mine last week.”
And one more chimed in: “Same with Sainsbury’s! You buy one pack with your nectar card (£4.50) and a voucher for a free pack comes with the receipt.”
