THIS Walmart employee has the best hacks to use at self-checkout if you want to save on time.
A video creator on the TikTok account @walmartopd1176 shared some helpful tips when grocery shopping at Walmart.
These self-checkout tips “can get you out of here faster than ever, even if you are paying with cash,” the creator said.
With the new self-checkout machines at the superstore, you don’t have to put coins in one by one.
Instead of inserting one a coin into the slot at a time, lift the mechanism up to reveal a bigger compartment where you can drop all your coins in at once.
The machine will then count the change for you, the Walmart employee said.
There is a similar trick when it comes to dollar bills.
You don’t need to stand there, feeding each bill into the machine.
Instead, you can simply collect all your bills together, neatly stack them, and place them into the machine as a bundle.
The machine should accept the bills and count them for you.

One commenter added to the video saying: “To be clear it only works on the grey checkouts not the blue!!”
Another user said, “the multiple bills in at once DOES NOT work, it will jam it or spit them back out at you. The coin trick does work (Noted by a Walmart Cashier).”
Other commenters were more concerned that Walmart doesn’t offer Apple Pay than about using cash at self-checkout.
The creator has made other videos showing more Walmart shopping tips.
In an earlier video, he suggested for customers to use the Walmart app to find items fast.
The app categorizes items by department, but you can also use the search bar to find the specific item that you are looking for.
Once you find the item on the app, it will tell you which aisle in the store that your product is located in.
You can also use the app to check the price of an item by scanning the product’s barcode with your camera.
