The controlling dad of my kids murdered his next girlfriend on their wedding night…I tried to warn her but he blocked me
A MUM has told how the controlling dad of her kids went on to murder his next girlfriend on their wedding night.
Kimberley Allcock says she bravely tried to warn Thomas Nutt’s victim, Dawn Walker, just months before he killed her but he blocked her.
Kimberley, 41, told Dawn about Nutt’s terrifying temper and showed her pictures of the injuries he inflicted on her.
But Nutt tragically murdered Dawn in his home in nearby Halifax, by hitting her in the head and strangling her.
Mum-of-six Kimberley told the Sunday People : “The way he behaved with Dawn was the same as with me but one woman survived and one didn’t. I was lucky.
“I told Dawn everything he had done to me and told her to request information about him from the police.

“The last message I sent to her was ‘Are you OK?’. She didn’t reply because he had blocked me from her account.”
The body of Dawn was discovered stuffed into the travel luggage in bushes by a member of the public at around 3pm on Halloween 2021.
The bag was discovered only 200 yards from their red-brick semi.
Kimberley, who has three children with Nutt, believes the killer “deeply hates women”.

She said: “He was violent and controlling. He gave me no money and I felt like I was in a prison. He was horrible. I couldn’t leave the house.”
He attacked her several times over the ten years they were together
Speaking about his final attack in February 2015, she said: “I went to bed early with a headache. I was woken up by him throwing tablets at me.
“He dragged me out of the bed and started to strangle me. I couldn’t breath, he was pressing hard on my windpipe. I managed to struggle free and run for my life.”
“He started punching me in the head in front of our five-year-old daughter. She screamed and he stopped. If she’d not screamed, I’d be dead now.”
Luckily a neighbour heard the screaming and called the police.

- Always keep your phone nearby.

- Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
- Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
- If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
- Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.

He was found guilty of assault after the attack – and Kimberly was moved to a safe house with her kids.
However, Nutt somehow managed to send them Easter eggs with the message: “Did the kids enjoy Easter?”
She explained: “I’ve had restraining order after restraining order just to keep us safe from him. He’s a psychopath.”
In July 2020 Dawn got in contact with Kimberley – who told her to be very careful with Nutt.
Then, in August 2020, Dawn said Nutt had nearly killed her in an attacked which saw him arrested – but Dawn dropped the charges.

Nutt had admitted killing his wife by pleading guilty to manslaughter – but had denied murder.
But on Wednesday a jury at Bradford Crown Court returned a unanimous guilty verdict.
