Bride shares controversial list of demands for her wedding guests, including a strict rule for groomsmen
ONE bride has gone viral after she shared the controversial rules she had for her wedding guests – including her groomsmen.
A Southern California bride was not playing around when it came to her wedding day and enforced strict rules among the guests and bridal party.
A bride went viral on TikTok for sharing the controversial list of rules she had for her wedding party and guests[/caption]Hairdresser Rachel Romano, known on TikTok as rachelromanohair, shares her strict wedding rules in a two-minute video on the platform that has been liked over 400,000 times..
The first rule on the list was already point of contention: Romano banned children who were under 21 years old from the wedding.
The only exceptions were the flower girl and ring bearer, but once the ceremony was over they were whisked home.
Romano explains that she didn’t want the liability associated with being around children in an adult environment on a lakefront property.

“Weddings aren’t the place for a kid. Parents take the night off. Have some cocktails with your friends and family. No kids. Sorry,” the TikTok user states.
The number two rule on Romano’s list was a “drama-starter” because it meant groomsmen were not allowed to drink before the wedding ceremony began.
“You spend so much money and so much time for that day, just wait,” Romano says. “It’s a 30-minute ceremony, max. Just wait till the reception.”
She received backlash before and after the wedding for this rule but pays it no mind.

Next on the list, Romano downsized on her wedding guests by forbidding people to bring a plus one to the event.
This third rule was important because Romano and her husband wanted to know each guest personally.
“If we wanted the person there, we would have invited them,” she bluntly states.
The fourth rule might be a no-brainer to some, but Romano stressed the importance of this rule in the video.
“Do not wear jeans to a formal wedding,” Romano says.
The fifth rule pertained to wedding colors for close family members.
According to Romano’s list, families had to stick to the wedding colors that were provided because the couple wanted their wedding photos to look neutral and blend in well together.
“Do not stand in the aisle with your phones taking pictures,” the hairdresser strongly states before diving into the sixth rule on her list.
Romano urges that this is the purpose of a wedding photographer during the ceremony and it detracts from the beauty of the moment.
“I loathe the people that did this,” Romano says.
During her wedding, Romano says one person stood in the aisle taking photos of her and her husband, especially during their kiss.
As a result, she says their photos were ruined because that guest is in the back of almost all of the pictures.
“Idk why wedding rules are such a big deal to people. If you don’t like the rules, don’t go. That simple,” one viewer commented in support on the video.
“God forbid she has rules for her OWN wedding. Y’all just seem super selfish in the comments to lash out at her for her own wants and needs,” another user added.
