What happened between Jason Momoa and Amber Heard?
Momoa and Heard are known to have gotten pretty close when they filmed Aquaman together in 2017.
Given the recent news that Momoa and his partner Lisa Bonet have split after 16 years together, Momoa has had to set the record straight as rumours regarding his love life arise.
But while many like to speculate Heard and Momoa’s relationship to have developed romantically while filming the DC film, it seems the pair shared affection in a jokey, sibling sort of way.
During an interview with “Good Morning America” back in 2018, Heard explained that Momoa had a particular way of getting her attention whenever he was in need of it.
Explaining that he is “allergic to being ignored,” she said, “He adopted this method of ripping out the pages of my book, so I would pay attention to him.

If that weren’t enough, a lot of people have also noticed that Momoa and Heard did share a lot of photos of them together on social media.
Claims that the pair were ever more than friends have never been confirmed, and it seems they both had other love interests at the time.
Momoa was still very close to his Bonet, while Heard was reportedly dating Elon Musk at the time, even though they did break up at the beginning of 2018, as detailed by People.
Plus, Momoa and Bonet quietly got married in October 2017, according to NBC News, which was about the same time that he was spending a lot of time with Heard.
Why did Aquaman cut Amber Heard?
As Heard’s defamation trial with her ex Johnny Depp is set to continue on Monday, May 16, a petition calling for DC Warner Bros to drop her from the role of Queen Mera in Aquaman 2 has now surpassed 4.1 million signatures.
The Change.org petition was created by Jeanne Larson in late 2020, following news that Depp, 58, was asked by Warner Bros to step down from his role of Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
While the actor has not yet been cut from the franchise, reports suggest her role is to be reduced.
According to Forbes, the number of scenes Heard appears in have been reduced and everything boils down to no more than 10 minutes of appearance.
Warner Bros are yet to comment on the reports.
What has Amber Heard said?
Heard has not yet spoken about her role in Aquaman 2.
It is likely we won’t hear from her until her court case with her former husband has concluded.
