STRICTLY’s Glitterball trophy has fallen apart just days before the final and now bosses fear it’s cursed.
The remaining celebrities hoping to win the BBC show were due to pose with the coveted trophy ahead of the final on Saturday night.
But just before they arrived in the studio the ball began to mysteriously shed its mirrored pieces.
An insider told Daily Star: “Strictly’s known for its curses with romances and now we have a new one.”
And it’s not the first time in the show’s history that the Glitterball has caused chaos for producers.
Last year’s winner, Stacey Dooley, lost the trophy just hours after she got her hands on it.

Amongst the excitement, This Morning’s Dr Ranj, 39, revealed that Stacey lost her coveted trophy at the after party.
She was forced to ask her fellow Strictly contestants whether they had seen it in their WhatsApp group the following day.
Speaking on The Telegraph‘s Talking Strictly podcast, he said: “Here’s a little secret… so after the after party, I may have snuck a picture with Stacey’s trophy.
“Then there was a message on the WhatsApp group yesterday saying, ‘Has anyone seen my trophy? I left it in the room with all the bags and now I can’t find it’.”
Kevin and Stacey beat off stiff competition to be named as the winners of the BBC ballroom in 2018[/caption]
To which the TV doctor said he replied: “And I was like, ‘I definitely didn’t take it home’.”
On the podcast, Dr Ranj was then asked: “You didn’t leave it in the cab did you?” but insisted: “No… I was like, ‘How many drinks did I have?’.”
The Strictly final will be taking place on Saturday 14 December at 7.05pm on BBC One.
The couples will each be performing three dances in a bid to impress the judges one last time.

Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke, Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden and Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse are all hoping to take home the prize.
Fans have loved Kelvin’s partnership with Oti and they have never been in the bottom two – making them the favourites to win the BBC show.
They will face stiff competition from Karim and Amy who have outscored their opponents more times in the last 12 weeks.
Emma appears to be the least likely to win the title, but anything can happen in a final and she is more than capable of delivering first-class performances.
