Kate Middleton all smiles as she and William share ride to church with the Queen

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the monarch for Sunday service near the Balmoral estate.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were pictured beaming as they headed to Sunday service with the Queen today.

Her Majesty, dressed in a bright pink jacket and hat, invited the Royal couple to join her for the journey to Crathie Kirk near Balmoral Castle.

Kate and William are currently on holiday at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire and were filmed taking a budget flight for the visit last week with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Kate, 37, wore a stylish £225 Michael Korrs dress to church today as Prince William flashed a huge grin as they passed dozens of cheering onlookers.

The churchgoers also included Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Notable absentees were Meghan and Prince Harry who have faced criticism in recent weeks after speaking about a climate change but taking four private jets in eleven days.

Prince Andrew was also not among the Royals heading for the church in Scotland.

The prince has faced intense pressure over his relationship with disgraced financier Jeffery Epstein, who killed himself in jail while awaiting child sex trafficking charges.

Yesterday, Prince Andrew said he ‘never witnessed or suspected’  any improper behaviour by Epstein.

Two weeks ago the Queen invited Andrew to ride in a car journey alongside her as a show of unity.
