TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — The leader of a New York state university is stepping down to take the reins at a New Jersey school. Merodie Hancock was named president of Thomas Edison State University on Wednesday. She will assume her new role on March 5 and will succeed George Pruitt, who is retiring after 35 years of leading the school in Trenton.
