Police: Man arrested after rideshare driver shot in Seattle
SEATTLE (AP) — Police say officers arrested a man after a rideshare driver was shot in Seattle.
The Seattle Police Department says officers were called to a shooting in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say arriving officers found a 29-year-old man on the ground next to a car that had a gun on the roof. Police say a rideshare driver had a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Police say the suspect told officers the gun he was carrying went off as he was exiting the vehicle.
Police say the man didn't have the firearm in a holster but did have a valid conceal carry permit.
The man was booked into King County jail on investigation of assault.
