Madrid (dpa) - Separatist parties in the Spanish region of Catalonia are projected to win an overall majority in regional elections, local media reported.According to a survey conducted by the Godo media group, the three political groupings that make up the Catalan parliament‘s separatist wing are set to win 71 seats in total, with 68 required for an absolute majority. The leftist pro-independence ERC party of leading candidate Oriol Junqueras was expected to win between 34 and 36 seats, while their unionist opponents, the People‘s Party (PP), could win 34-37 seats. The list led by deposed regional president Carles Puigdemont, JuntsxCat, took third place in the exit survey, with a projected 28-29 seats.Coalition-building is expected to be challenging, given that differences reign within both the separatist and pro-Spain camps.
