Shavkat Mirziyoyev banned the practice that existed for decades
Since January 1, 2018, state authorities in the field are prohibited from setting tasks for educational and medical institutions for the preparation and delivery of scrap and waste of ferrous metals.
Thus, the practice of renting scrap metal by schoolchildren and pupils of other educational institutions in Uzbekistan has ceased for decades. A similar "task", which has to be performed by students, is collection and delivery of waste paper.
