Breaking: Another PDP House of Reps member defects to APC
- A member of the House of Representatives has defected from PDP to APC
- This is coming after another member defected to APC on Tuesday
Two days after a member of the House of Representatives, Raphael Igbokwe, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC), another member has defected.
Johnson Agbonayinma from Edo state, a member of the PDP announced his defection to APC on Thursday, December 21.

Agbonayinma is a member of the Ali Modu-Sheriff faction of the PDP before the leadership battle of the party was resolved by the Supreme Court, The Punch reports.
While explaining the reason for his defection, Agbonayinma said that: “The PDP has shut the door against me.”
The Edo state Deputy Governor, Phillip Shuaibu, was around to witness the defection.

Earlier, NAIJ.com reported that the PDP has reacted to the emergence of a factional group insisting it will not be distracted by it.
Report had surfaced that a new faction of the PDP, known as the Fresh PDP has emerged.
The emergence of the new faction of the PDP is believed to be as a result of the fallout from the recently concluded elective national convention of the party in which some candidates said to be on the unity list were elected.
