Rio Grande Sports Information
LIMA, Ohio - A strong start had the University of Rio Grande women's basketball team thinking rout in Tuesday afternoon's non-conference game against the University of Northwestern Ohio.
As things turned out, it took a strong finish to save the RedStorm from what would've been a potentially gut-wrenching loss.
Rio coughed up a 15-point second quarter lead, but rallied late by scoring 16 of the game's final 21 points to post a 68-57 win over the Racers at Racers Gymnasium.
The RedStorm, who completed a season sweep of their hosts, improved to 14-1 with a 12th straight win.
UNOH suffered its sixth loss in seven home outings and fell to 6-10 overall.
