Stocks end mostly lower after Congress passes tax cuts
Stock indexes ended slightly lower after both the House and the Senate passed tax legislation, sending it to President Donald Trump for his signature. FedEx rose 3.5% after its second-quarter earnings beat expectations. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended around 28 points lower near 24,727. The Nasdaq Composite Index was nearly flat at 6,961. The S&P 500 was off 0.1% at 2,679.
