Zelensky announced a conspiracy of oligarchs against him

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that “the old elites and oligarchs” conspired against him and the country. He wrote about this on the Telegram channel on Sunday, November 1.

“I know for sure that today’s demarche of the Constitutional Court is a public manifestation of a conspiracy of some of the old elites and oligarchs against the president and against the country. No other way. Precisely against, ”the Ukrainian leader noted.

He explained this by the desire of the conspirators to preserve a weak state, since it is the guarantee of a corrupt way of life. The president also remembered Halloween and wrote that all “devils from the political hell reveal their real faces.”

Earlier, the chairman of the Constitutional Court (CC) of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tupitsky, on behalf of the judicial body, invited President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to a meeting to discuss the current constitutional crisis. Tupitsky stressed that in the current situation, interaction of all branches of government is necessary.

On October 30, it became known that the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) opened a criminal case against Tupitsky under articles on treason and illegal alienation of land.

Shortly before that, he said that he sees signs of a coup d’etat in Zelensky’s bill, which provides for the deprivation of the current judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Against this background, a mass rally began near the building of the Constitutional Court in Kiev under the slogan “Let’s send traitorous judges to Rostov!” Protesters pelted the courthouse with smoke bombs, firecrackers and tires.

On October 27, the Constitutional Court blocked the electronic declaration of income of senior officials and deprived the National Anti-Corruption Agency of some of its powers. The European Union expressed concern about the decision, this may become the basis for the suspension of the visa-free regime with Ukraine.

Soon after the decision was made, Zelensky submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada demanding that it be declared null and void and that the powers of judges be terminated.
