Martin Truex Jr. pulled away off a restart with seven laps left to win the NASCAR 400-mile Cup race at Pocono Raceway on Sunday and thrust himself back into the championship picture. Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick had turned the season into a two-driver show, winning nine of the first 13 races. A man on the tracks at Caltrain’s Redwood City Station was struck and killed by a northbound train late Saturday, the fourth fatality involving the commuter rail service this year, a Caltrain spokesman said. The man was “trespassing on the tracks” at the station about 10:56 p.m. when he was struck, spokesman Dan Lieberman said. The train carried 131 passengers, but no injuries were reported on board, he said. The incident remained under investigation, and the man’s name and age were not immediately released. A Richmond man was arrested after another man was stabbed in BART’s El Cerrito del Norte Station late Saturday, BART police said. The incident happened inside the fare gates on the station’s lower level about 10:21 p.m., BART spokeswoman Cheryl Stalter said. Police then closed the station for the rest of the night, and service through the station was replaced by buses. The station reopened when BART service resumed early Sunday. 1 Drownings: A man and his 5-year-old daughter drowned in the San Joaquin River near Mendota, authorities said. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said a dive team was dispatched Saturday after the 30-year-old father and the girl disappeared in the river.
