COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio officials are ready to announce where the state's 56 medical marijuana dispensaries will be located. The Board of Pharmacy is expected on Monday to name who will get the licenses in 28 geographic districts. AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — The LePage administration is encouraging teenagers to get to work this summer. The state labor and education departments have unveiled a program called Youth Empowerment and the Steps to Success. The goal is to get more 14- and 15-year-old Mainers into the workforce. Officials say it's a win-win because teenagers need the experience of joining the workforce, and they can fill critical gaps in the state's hospitality industry. NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio school that's short on funds is proposing the harvesting of old-growth trees on school property. Newton Falls Exempted School District in northeastern Ohio is holding a July 3 auction to take timber harvesting bids from interested companies for trees on 42 acres of forest. School Treasurer Jonathan Pusateri tells the Warren Tribune Chronicle the district needs to look at such a project because of its financial state. Now only 51 percent of kids ages 13 to 17 use Facebook, according to Pew Research Center. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Demonstrations by antifacists known as antifa and right-wing groups have turned violent in downtown Portland. Numerous news reports show some demonstrators punching and assaulting members of the opposing side. The Portland Police Department put out messages on Twitter telling people in downtown Portland they were at risk of getting caught between violent clashes.
