I write to you now appealing to you to save RuneScape
When the bosses have a genuine weapon weakness (for all three combat styles) along with a weapon immunity, it not only opens up the opportunity to diversify the battle experiences, but also give all those niche weapons a real use. That means weapons would not work. But that is the reason behind the weapon diversity thingy, to make it so that you do not bring the same weapon to all boss battles but actually find out how to use all the weapons and their consequences. (This opens up a whole new region to develop boss experiences around the weapons used).Make an authentic high score table for supervisors, employing the Killcount and Timer, this could spur a bit of friendly rivalry and also could give a sense of achievement to the boss killers out there. These are just a few suggestions, so please choose them like that, mere ideas based on my personal opinion.
I write to you now appealing to you to save RuneScape, and offering what I believe to be reasonable suggestions to do this. Before giving my ideas I will give some honest background to who I am as a runescape player, as it may assist you in knowing where my ideas stem from. I've played because RSC, was a very very active PKer and member of the #1 PvP clan on RS2 and performed into RS3. Admittedly, as I have grown old and my free time and less, I stopped playing my 10+ hours a day (probably around 2007) but have remained around the community and also have paid for membership despite not playing frequently (I currently have two accounts with premier).
I still love the runescape game and after'quitting' I remained busy in my clan's forums, then proceeded on to play a lot of private servers, came back'full time' when botting was rampant (well, I only had to click two times a day lol), came back when OS was published, got really into RS3 for a while after viewing some PvM movies, and now I'm more of a redditor than a runescape player, often defending MTX in the midst of irrational ideas which are quite entitled and lack any firm sense from anti MTX runescape players.
Now on the ideas. Firstly, I personally accept that MTX is part of modern day gaming. In reality, I am pretty happy it's, as I just don't have the time that I once had to sit click a tree to gain expertise in order to have the ability to do a quest that unlocks another quest that gives me access to a place that I want a benefit out of. I, consequently, will not be offering'eliminate MTX' tips, but rather ideas that you can use to remedy the roots which are inducing MTX complaints.
